State Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay and Neenah Republican Dean Kaufert submitted a proposal this summer to institute a new program called Silver Alerts in Wisconsin. Similar to Amber Alerts, this program is designed to avoid tragic situtations like one Green Bay family experienced.
